Houston distribution complex
Family-run Houston operator · Owner-answered calls

Finally, a 3PL that actually cares.

We run both of our Houston warehouses ourselves — minutes from the Port and both airports — with our own people on the floor and a named contact who knows your SKUs. Transport and integrations are handled through partners we'd trust with our own freight. One contact, one invoice, one less thing to worry about.

FAQ

In-house warehousing.
Partner-powered transport.

Answers to the questions shippers ask most about how our one-stop model works.

What do you operate yourselves versus through partners?

We own the warehouse operation end-to-end at both Houston facilities: receiving, put-away, storage, pick, pack, ship, kitting, VAS, QC, cycle counts, and inventory reporting are all run by our own team on our WMS. Transport — drayage, LTL, FTL, parcel, and last-mile — is coordinated by us but executed by vetted carrier and broker partners.

If partners move the freight, who am I actually working with?

Us. You get one account manager, one contract, and one invoice. We book the carrier, schedule the drayage, and manage exceptions on your behalf. Partners are the muscle; we are the single point of contact.

Why not run your own trucks?

Because a partner network gives you more capacity, more lane coverage, and better rates than any single fleet could. Houston sits on top of the largest carrier market in the Gulf — we use that. It keeps our focus on doing warehousing exceptionally well, not on managing drivers and equipment.

How do you pick which carriers and partners to use?

Every partner is vetted for insurance, safety scores, financial stability, and service history. We match the lane and freight profile to the right partner rather than defaulting to one carrier for everything. If a partner underperforms, we replace them.

Can I keep using my own carriers or broker?

Yes. Many customers bring their own routing guide or preferred 3PL for outbound freight. We'll pick, pack, and stage to their SOP and hand off at our dock. It's your choice, not ours.

How does drayage from the Port of Houston work?

You send us the container details and BOL. Our drayage partner pulls the container from the terminal, delivers to our dock, and we devan, receive, and put away inventory the same day when possible. You see it live in the WMS as soon as it hits our floor.

What about tech integrations — Shopify, EDI, Amazon?

Our WMS handles the integrations directly. For anything specialized, we work with certified integration partners so you don't have to build custom middleware. Orders flow in, tracking flows out, inventory stays in sync.

Who is accountable when something goes wrong in transit?

We are. You call us, not the carrier. Email claims@thewarehousefirm.com — or just reply to your account lead — and we open the claim, chase the tracking, and coordinate the resolution. That is the point of a one-stop model: you don't do the vendor triage.

Who do I contact for what?

sales@thewarehousefirm.com for quotes, pricing and new volume. billing@thewarehousefirm.com for invoices, payments and disputes. claims@thewarehousefirm.com for damages, shortages and transit exceptions. info@thewarehousefirm.com for anything else. Every one of those is watched by the team, so nothing waits on one person being at their desk.

Why brands stay

Finally, a 3PL that
actually picks up the phone.

We've been on your side of the table. We know what it feels like when a container sits, when a customer emails about a package that never moved, and when nobody at your warehouse will give you a straight answer.

So we built the operator we wished existed: our own people on our own floor, a named contact who knows your SKUs by heart, and the truth told early — even when it's inconvenient. Your inventory is someone's livelihood. We treat it that way.

Our promise, in one line

If we make a mistake, we tell you before you find it, we fix it at our cost, and we show you what changed so it doesn't happen twice.

A real person, every time

You get a named account lead with a direct line and mobile number. No ticket queues, no "someone will get back to you."

Radical transparency

Live inventory, photo-verified receiving, and honest updates when something slips. You'll never learn about a problem from your customer first.

No lock-in contracts

Month-to-month terms. We'd rather earn your business every month than trap it in a three-year agreement.

Your brand, handled with care

Our team packs your orders like they're going to family — clean presentation, right inserts, right first impression.

In their words

The relief is the point.

What founders and ops leads tell us after their first ninety days with our Houston team.

"For the first time in three years I'm not lying awake wondering if orders went out. They call me before I have to call them — that alone changed how I run my business."
Sarah Chen
Sarah Chen
Founder, Ecommerce Brand
"A container got held up and they had a plan in my inbox before I even knew about it. That's not a vendor, that's someone who genuinely cares about your product."
Michael Reyes
Michael Reyes
Import Manager, CPG
"They walked our whole team through the floor, learned our SKUs, and fixed a packing issue at their own cost. This is the operator we wish we'd found five years ago."
